Nissan Displays Sport Sedan Concept at 2014 NAIAS

Ahead of the production for its all-new 2015 Maxima, Nissan displayed a car that company executives say preview the styling of all future models of their brand. This vehicle is simply titled the Nissan Sport Sedan Concept.

The Sport Sedan Concept’s highly sculptured body incorporates sharp angles and curves, the culmination of meticulous precision in aerodynamic design. From the boomerang-shaped headlights and taillights to the “floating” roof design, this concept car is aggressive yet graceful. We also love the melding of colors on the car displayed at NAIAS: a metallic orange accented by well-placed chrome pieces and black-out pillars. The interior parallels this high-contrast of colors and metallic accents.

Its engine is a 3.5-liter V-6 with a sport-tuned version of Nissan’s Xtronic CVT (continuously variable transmission). This design is quite similar to that found in the current Maxima and is likely to be carried over into 2015.

Regardless of whether this concept becomes a prototype or merely serves as a foundation upon which next year’s Nissan models shall be made, the Sport Sedan Concept certainly sets a new standard for the Nissan brand.

There is, however, no need to wait for next year when Nissan already offers great models at excellent prices with us here at Leith Nissan!
