Ladies and Gentleman: Nissan’s 2014 Juke

When Nissan produces vehicles like the Juke, it is no wonder that our favorite automobile manufacturer is set to celebrate its 80th Anniversary on December 26th, 2013 – more on that next week. We want to take a moment to focus on the Juke, a much-more-than-a-crossover crossover.

The 2014 Nissan Juke first captivates us with unique exterior aesthetics. Most SUV crossovers maintain a bulkier look as a vestige of the once-popular gas guzzlers; whereas the Juke appeals to us with a rounded, curvy body on a smaller two-door frame. Some of the angles give the Juke a muscular bulk without compromising its aerodynamic look.

1.6-liter direct injection 16-valve turbocharged 4-cylinder engine pumps out 188 horsepower at 56,000 RPMs.

With tremendous torque-vectoring, ABS, and an all-wheel drive option, there is very little this sleek machine cannot accomplish.

Nissan designers spared no expense on the interior, but did not foot you the bill. Comfortable bucket seats give you the support you need as you glide through turns or get those RPMs roaring, and a center console seemingly molded after the body of an Italian sports bike. Everything in this “Sportcross” screams POWER enough to become its own hairband ballad.

Oh, and did we mention the 27/32 MPG city/highway fuel efficiency? I guess we just did.

In case you needed any more convincing – but more just to rub it in the competition’s face – here are a few more accolades:

KBB 2012 Total Cost of Ownership Award

Kiplinger’s Best Car of 2013 for Most Fuel Efficient Vehicle

IIHS Top Safety Pick of 2013

Until next week, enjoy this video:
